Nikolaj Kjær Høier
My research has primarily focused on neurological and circadian disorders, such as sleep disturbances and sleep medication, and their association with suicidal behavior. I have also worked on projects examining the link between migraine disorders and suicide.
In 2021, I received the “James Kirk Bernard Foundation for Excellence in the Biological Exploration of Suicide” award, granted by IASR, AFSP, and the James Kirk Bernard Foundation. At the Aging and Sleep conference in 2020, I received the Best Abstract Prize. My work has previously been funded by the Lundbeck Foundation, the William Demant Foundation, the Knud Højgaard Foundation, the Director Ib Henriksen Foundation, and the Dagmar Marshall Foundation.
