My research focuses on the developmental origins of suicide. I am interested in understanding how early life experiences (i.e., events around birth, during childhood, and in adolescence) may influence the risk of suicide later in life. I investigate these questions using longitudinal, population-based datasets and a range of approaches from psychiatric epidemiology, behavioral research, and developmental psychopathology traditions.
