My research area is prevention of self-harm (including non-suicidal self-injury), suicidal behavior and in general digital solutions. I oversee both epidemiological studies and clinical trials. I have been in charge of the national evaluation of the pack size restriction on mild analgesics over-the-counter at the pharmacy. I am currently PI on a large, clinical, randomized multi-center study investigating the effect of internet-based therapy for adolescent outpatients engaging in non-suicidal self-injury with participation from four Danish regions. I am also PI on a universal prevention project on mental health for students in 8-9. grade across the country – the YAM-project. I’m leading a group of researchers including Greenlandic researchers interested in suicide preventive initiatives in Greenland. In the Best for Us project, a national project on a comprehensive boost to B&U with the development and implementation of a family-centered stepped-care model for faster assessment and better treatment for children and young people, I participate in work package 3, The Family’s Digital Toolbox.
